Killer Mike joined racist Bill Maher on his “show” last week . While in the interview Mike mentioned the need for Black Americans to be given tax subsidized marijuana businesses.

“With Native Americans, we gave them the casino industry. What about, you know, supermarkets?” Maher uttered.

“Could Black people have the marijuana industry?” Mike adds. “Give us marijuana. Its a multi billion-dollar industry. It’s still fresh, it’s still growing.”

Mike is certainly on to something. Despite hundreds of studies confirming that Blacks and non-Blacks use marijuana at similar rates, Black Americans have disproportional been targeted for for felonies and misdemeanor charges to the drug that is now legal in a majority of states in the US.

Red natives-Americans were given the gambling disproportionate access to the gambling industry due to its newly federally recognized status as a legal industry, it could be readily taxed being the reservation’s primary revenue source, and it allowed the red natives to begin the process of becoming self sufficient by owning their own industry that was subsidized exclusively for their benefit.

Black Americans have not only been wrongfully imprisoned thanks to the unfair laws targeting Black people who used or were even around those (all in laws and RICO statutes) who used marijuana. The US government implemented three strikes laws, mandatory minimum sentencing ensuring that Black who were improperly charged would remain in prison doing slave labor for private white industry for as long as humanly (or inhumanly) possible, all while federal agencies such as the FBI used informants and immigrants alike to regularly infiltrate and flood the Black community with marijuana and other harmful narcotics.

Kamala “I smoke weed” Harris ran on smoking marijuana and how it was important to her Jamaican or Hindu whatever heritage she’s claiming this week.

If Ms. Harris wants to prove her sincerity and if she wants to prove that the Biden administration’s sincerity towards Black people considering she and Mr. Biden both played significant roles in wrongfully imprisoning innocent Black people, then the Biden administration will go out of its way to ensure that Black people are given business grants, training, zoning clearance and tax subsides to start their small marijuana dispensaries with as few obstacles as possible.

Over 95% of the U.S. population lives in an area where marijuana is legal to some degree, and over 50% in states where recreational use is permitted. Canada ended prohibition and federally legalized recreational cannabis in 2018.

Thanks to economic deprivation of the US governement and private white institutions whom benefit from tax payer funding, Black Americans have been held out of the expensive industry as planned. In fact, Freedmen only make up 1.8% of all cannabis business owners.

Meaning that Biden must expedite the license process that allows the selling of the drug for Freedmen. He should also only consider advocating for grants of upwards of $150,000 per business applicant due to the absorbent cost of opening a dispensary.

The administration can make a task force for Freedmen businesses designated specifically to walk Black business owners through the convoluted legal processes specific to each state, along with providing assistance in creating business and operational plans for submission.

They can also make exceptions to the rule of not “having a criminal record prior to applying for the marijuana licensees” considering a vast majority of criminal convictions against Freedmen are either marijuana-related or salacious in general. All application fees should be waived for Freedmen and new lines of business credit should be extended with no strings attached.

The Biden administration can also connect Black business owners with investors to draw in capital in addition to the grants that Freedmen will receive.

Now is a excellent opportunity for the US federal and state governments to prove that they aren’t Nazis hell bent on killing or imprisoning Black people, and that their non-Black constituents are in fact different from their forefathers.

America has the chance to benefit internationally from the optics of helping to bootstrap and subsidize a Black industry despite the nation’s long record of bombing Black business districts and taking industrial actions aimed at economic disenfranchisement of Black people.

If the Biden administration or possible Trump administration is serious about getting Black support then they can start with initiating funding for Black startups in the marijuna industry.
