Belarus is the latest European country to remove themselves from the treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE).

In compliance with its obligations under the international agreements Belarus destroyed large quantities of conventional arms and military equipment consisting of 1773 army tanks, 1341 battle armored machines and 130 battle planes have been destroyed. In tandem with the other 30 CFE member states. This makes up roughly 10 per cent of the complying European nations’ arms and military equipment that have been destroyed thanks to the treaty.

European nations are no strangers to knock out fights over what mostly amounts to farm fields and small townships.

With a nuclear capable Belarus being the latest in a long line of European countries pulling out from multiple proliferation treaties, the world watches with bated breath.
