The South Carolina women’s basketball team pulled out a tight victory over Iowa 87-75 marking their third national championship win.

Being down 15 points in the first quarter., it was a pleasant surprise to see SC rally back tying up the game 46-46 in the second quarter and leading by over 10 points by the third.
“I prayed on it.” Said Coach Dawn Staley. “”God doesn’t choose any one particular culture, but he works in mysterious ways.”
Squad captain Raven Johnson who has yet to declare for the WNBA draft said “All I have to say is: The revenge tour is over,” she remarked following her obsession with a viral clip of her stumbling last season. Johnson also clamped down on NCAA standout and leading scorer Caitlin Clark, holding her to just 2 points in the entire second half.

Senior Kamilla Cardoso, who was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, finished with 17 rebounds and has yet to declare her draft intentions.
South Carolina has multiple rising seniors and will be returning 9 players to their starting roster for the upcoming season.
