Over 1500 troops will be flown out of the nation within the next phase of the withdrawal with should take 3 months in total.
The US drone base also known as AB-201 (Niger Air Base 201) is located approximate 4.3 kilometers southeast of the city of Agadez and has several hundred drones, dozens of small aircraft, munitions, and combat vehicles– all of which the Niger government has been public about expecting to secure for itself.
“If the US used these weapons of mass destruction in our country, on our land, then they should leave them now that they’re expelled so that we may use them for our own protection or repurposed them.” said Muhammad Sebi a young Nigerian Armed Forces (NAF) cadet.

Last month Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine declared that the US’ presence in the region was illegal and formally requested that the state department formally start the removal process.
The state department claimed for weeks to “not have received the request”, all while local NAF troops reportedly got into fire fights with unknown personnel near the nation’s capital of Niamey. Many parliamentary members have insinuated that the unknown enemies may be private defense contractors associated with the west, in a last-ditch attempt to reclaim the nation for the colonizers.

Civilians have claimed for nearly a decade that since the US’ arrival many innocent people have been killed by drone attacks, without reason or justification. Children have also gone missing, which the locals blame on white soldiers from the US.

Niger is open to negations with the Russians and Chinese to assure that their cross training of military personnel allows the nation to keep up with western powers tactics, and equipment upgrades as a deterrence from western conniving.
Civilians have been celebrating the exiting of the US’ presence in the nation, with a parade even being held around the outskirts of the base.
Cadet Muhammad Sebi was much more brazen with his words. “This is a new generation, we will not be bullied or victimized, we’re on code.”
Well said, brotha.
