Donald Trump was inaugurated for the second time this week marking a historic comeback for the Republican party.

With many on edge following the insurrection attempt by Trump and the January 6th rioters 4 years ago, the celebration was mostly applauded for its Black performances including Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross (rapper who claims the namesake) and Soulja’ Boy made headlines.

Mississippi Valley State University put on dazzling spectacle for the crowd, and all seemed well until Trump’s supporters actually started speaking.

At the top of that list was Elon Musk, who caused a uproar on social media for doing the Bellamy salute, commonly known as the Seig Heil salute associated with the Nazis.

The salute is steeped in white supremacist history especially in America where Klan rallies often concluded with the Bellamy salute.

Musk immediately became the talk of the nation, with most commentators mentioning his brazen act of white supremacist dog whistling rather than the entirety of the inauguration itself.

Could Musk be making his move to usurp Trumps positioning early?

Musk clearly meant to overshadow President Trump during this event, he also wanted to deflect accusations of his immigration status given the situation fellow tech billionaire Vivek Ramaswammy found himself in, being ousted by the Trump administration just last week.

Musk is a immigrant himself, worse yet, Musk is a immigrant that benefits greatly from American citizen’s tax dollars. His fragrant posturing towards white supremacist appears to be a deflection (or at least a poor attempt) from his obvious contradiction in his placement in the Trump administration.

But Musk wanted to wait till the height of Trumps fame to pull a stunt like this, and thats no accident.

More people tuned in to Trumps inauguration than any of his campaign events that Musk had formerly attended, so the inauguration was the best opportunity to get himself attention from the same white voter base that Musk may need in the future should President Trump decide to muscle him out in the same manner as Ramaswammy.

Musk may be incompetent but he’s been empowered by the US’s racist tax system and funded entirely from the taxpayer’s dime. He has the economic weight to influence elections rather that be through his social media site, or outright flooding candidates with campaign donations from shell organizations, Musk is a political threat to the Black community.

Will the Congressional Black Caucus make it their mission to confront and eventually remove the embattled tech bro from power?

Chances are, probably not.
