Aliceville teen Jabari Latrell Peoples, 18, was shot to death June 23, 2025, by a Homewood ‘police officer’ that the department and city are refusing to name.
Homewood police department known for accusations of criminality of their own by locals, have been a corrupt department for the better of 3 decades. Multiple officers have been involved in murders of Black civilians.
The attorney for the family Leroy Maxwell said that Peoples was a 2024 graduate of Aliceville High School who worked as a security guard at DCH Regional Medical Center.

“He loved the idea of law enforcement and wanted to work in law enforcement at some point,” Maxwell said.
“He was a student. He was beloved. He was kind. He was respectful,” Maxwell said. “There’s nothing I’ve seen to counter that narrative whatsoever.”
On top of that the family hasn’t been allowed to view Jabari’s remains, but a medical examination confirmed he was shot in the back.
The Homewood police department is standing behind the murder, so the people need to stand against them. They claim Jabari had a handgun which is legal in Alabama, a open carry state, but that he fought the officer during a marrijuna-related arrest.
Brothas, what do we say about that junk?
Either way, he didn’t deserve to be murdered for it.
The thugs are located at 1833 29th Ave S, Homewood, AL 35209.
Homewood PD has a relativley small fighting force of less than 120 people with only 80 of them being officers. With 65 police vehicles under their controll, barricades set up by these goons against potential protestors.
Tim Ross is chief of the department but has said
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) hasn’t released details regarding the contents of their armory or status of their personell. Though the agency has vowed to investigate, not that it has a gleaming trackrecord in that category.
Stay vigilant, stay ready.
