Now, some of the biggest content creators are claiming that they want to jump into anime, but only because its socially safe now. Let’s be clear, Youtuber ‘OGDaffy’ is a casual, but he’s still a weeb so his opinion is always welcomed here. And go and read a monthly or Shoujo if you’re really bout it bout it.

Priest Copyright Strikes Black Content Creator

If you haven’t been following this controversy, here’s a quick update. Youtuber ‘Shine Comics’ made a very well put together video essay on racism faced by Black authors including Christopher Priest in the comic industry. Well apparently Preist himself took issue with it and requested that Shine take the video down before copyright striking the content which is a soft-serve thing to do.

Is DC Comics Dong Black Characters Enough?

Gotta disagree with this one wholeheartedly. DC is doing Black characters dirty, because they will pull white characters out of obscurity and give them important roles or solo runs and ignore prominent Black characters that often are powerhouses. James Gunn proved that a obscure character like Mr. Terrific could be revitalized and chart sales not only in theaters but the comic book world. Bottom line is DC comics needs to do better or risk losing Black readers permanently.
