MINNEAPOLIS — White supremacist and social media personality Jake Lang was forced to leave a downtown Minneapolis protest this weekend after being confronted by a much larger group of counter-demonstrators who rejected his presence and message.
Lang attempted to stage a rally near City Hall amid heightened tensions over federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota. Only a small number of supporters appeared alongside him, while hundreds of anti-ICE and anti-racism protesters quickly surrounded the area, chanting and drowning out his attempts to speak.
The situation escalated as counter-demonstrators hurled insults and objects, forcing Lang to retreat. Videos circulating online show him visibly shaken and injured, with bruises and scrapes on his head as he was rushed away from the crowd, effectively ending the event.
Law enforcement maintained a limited presence and no major arrests were reported. The crowd eventually dispersed after Lang’s departure.
The incident underscores growing resistance to outside agitators attempting to exploit local protests for political gain. Lang later claimed he was attacked, though authorities have not confirmed those allegations.
