Anime studios, we need to have a meeting.

We have watched Bleach return from the dead looking gorgeous. Rurouni Kenshin got rebuilt. Ranma ½ came back. One Piece is getting the remake treatment while the original anime is still alive and kicking.

Meanwhile, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! fans are standing outside the anime industry headquarters holding a cardboard sign that says:

“Please, sir, may we have some Vongola?”

The original anime ended in 2010 after 203 episodes, leaving manga material unanimated. That means an entire generation has never experienced the glorious transformation of Tsunayoshi Sawada from “I cannot do anything” to “I have gloves and suddenly everybody in this building is in danger.”

And imagine Reborn! with modern animation.

Hyper Dying Will Mode with movie-quality effects? X-Burner in 2026 animation? Hibari fights with modern choreography? Mukuro getting enough animation budget to make every TikTok editor spontaneously combust?

Take our money.

A remake could also tighten the notoriously comedy-heavy beginning, introduce the Vongola Family to a new generation and finally animate later manga material the original adaptation never reached.

Every mysterious anime announcement gets Reborn! fans excited. Every anniversary creates another round of speculation. Every time, we crawl from our caves whispering:

“This is it.”

Then it’s merchandise.

We have enough acrylic stands. Give us the anime.

At this point, Tsuna could become an actual Mafia boss before we get this remake.
