Many people today of Black American descent and other Black ethnicities have an underappreciation for the concept of staying woke, in my opinion. I have observed that some Black people when abroad especially in Asia develop a disarmed mindset, wherein they view racism as less of an issue for themselves in those lands and something that does not warrant the caution that they would otherwise have in the USA.

An old record that’s hard to hear, but he says in Alabama, “Be careful and stay woke. So I advise everybody, be a little careful when they go along through Alabama; Stay woke, keep their eyes open.”
Recently there was a wave of interest in Japanese Twitter from Americans, although there were wholesome cultural exchanges, there were also very evident racist posts particularly against Black people from Japanese Twitter users that gained not a little interest.
The response from Black social media users was rather mixed with some discounting many of these highly prejudiced posts as bot activity. Others however viewed a pattern in prevailing Japanese culture that indicated Anti-Black attitudes and shared the sentiment with their viewers.
Twitter may be said to be one of the most popular social media platforms in Japan; which happens to be to be owned by Elon Musk, known for his infamous Nazi salute incident.
The fact that Japan was a former ally of Nazi Germany is also a matter of profound interest. That is worth investigating.
To the wise none of the Japanese racism on Twitter is surprising and even less so to those that know what the ideology of Yamato supremacy consists of in Japan. Many people are unaware that there are not less than three distinct races in Japan with Yamato colonizers being the most common having conquered the indigenous Ryukyuans to the South in the Ryukyu Islands and the Ainu of Northern Japan.
Hitler found a distinct commonality with the Japanese nation and “Aryan” Germany. It is prudent to never underestimate that fact.
On Military/Spiritual Ties (1941): Hitler stated that in the coming age, the interests of Japan and Germany would be identical, noting they shared “common spiritual foundations” and a “thorough spiritual understanding” (regarding meetings with Japanese representatives).
On Political Alliance (1942): Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hitler praised Japanese military strength, stating that “such a great people as the Japanese do exactly that which they believe to be right,” as noted by historian Franz von Sonnleithner.
On Japanese Culture vs. Christianity (1945): “Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity.” — (Source: Hitler’s Table Talk)

Japan infamously was an intensely nationalistic country. There may be peradventure those that will tell you that nationalism and xenophobia are different than racism in an effort to dismiss well advised caution and our concept of wokeness when in Japan or other such nations. Wokeness, that is to say, wakefulness, awareness, healthy suspicion has always been essential to Black American survival not just here in the USA but the whole wide world.

In order to disprove the detractors who say that woke caution is unwarranted and that this Japanese zeitgeist is not one of racism but of nationalism and xenophobia we will delve into definitions; because these words are synonyms.

Strong nationalism then can also be considered an overwhelming favoritism for a race because nation can mean race.
As black people the awareness of racial prejudice allows us to predict the actions of others to an extent and also to be prepared for ill treatment or social masking which is popular in Japanese culture but is also found in other interactions that we have as black people with other races.
Tatemae (建前) is the Japanese concept of a “public facade,” “polite pretense,” or “socially acceptable behavior” used to maintain harmony in group situations. It is the opposite of honne (true feelings/desires) and represents what a person says to avoid conflict, embarrassment, or hurting others, rather than what they actually feel.

The racist conduct on twitter is expression of honne or true feelings and conduct. Those people intentionally hid their disdain for the races that they malign online. The cultural concepts above have birthed extremely proficient liars in Japanese society.
As woke people of Black social status we should expect lies in many interactions, caution is not a judgment upon any individual but an essential necessity, there is a history of lies from Europeans pertaining to the treaties that were broken and theft of Black Amerindian lands, the true Red Men as dark as the ruddy-brown pipestone or chestnuts as recorded in old history books.
Nazi Germany and Japan share another and very little known commonality, they are nations that popularly practiced Sun worship and had a Solar People doctrinal idea.
Historical analysis of literature proves this further. For example.

History testifies that Japan as a nation was at least just as racist as Nazi Germany in a general sense.
There is a symbolical idea that many people are unacquainted with, peradventure it has crossed our minds before in a very general way, though, many racists know about this concept that I am bout to share.
Take intoaccount what we have read, the idea that the Yamato Japanese were essentially the race of Sun Goddess Amaterasu. Symbolic racist ideology has portrayed “Black” people as the children of darkness and “White” people as the children of the Sun; despite being sunburnt relentlessly.

It is prudent to assume and to take for granted that in Asia, Europe, Latin America and elsewhere the reverence for whiteness is a type of religious concept. Regardless of the logic that any of us might present, reason often will not penetrate cultlike devotion. So, awareness will suffice for us.
Also, keep in mind that many whitening cosmetics include quicksilver, a poisonous metal, in their adoration for whiteness many Tawnyfolk seek to transmute their golden hues to pallidness through arguably alchemistlike cosmetical means. We may consider the “cult of white skin” to be rather toxic in more ways than one. Meditate upon the matter. If the perception of their own tan skin is so bad in a general sense at least, how are darker people generally viewed in Japan?
Even in regard to blonde hair that was valued by the Nazi Germans we see a connection to sun worship.

In mine opinion Black is a high honor.
Many racists overvalue their contempt, once the cultural machinery behind their bigotries are known they become easy to dismantle ideologically; which will prevent you from suffering undue mental stress.
I can identify these supremacist ideas pertaining to lighter complexions in multiple countries, some people will claim that they learned such racist culture from the British or Americans; though I must say that all of my research indicates that they were already Anti-Black to begin with. Wherever you go as a Black person be aware, stay woke.
